Healthy Detatchments

Been a long time! I guess this has been the longest break I’ve ever taken from blogging and I am still not sure if the break is over. ‘Why?’ you ask. ‘Life’ I answer. (Go to the bottom of this post if you want to skip the reading and just see the pictures)

We all know there are times in life when nothing happens as planned or expected and let’s just say it has been one such period for me. However, that’s not the point of this post. I just want to share why I am absent on social media occasionaly. I feel obliged at the moment to update my followers regarding the inactivity.

Most of you know me as a fashion blogger,  Instagramer etc. However, obviously that’s not the biggest part of my life. It is just one small part, although very dear to me. I had always aspired to take my blogging to another level and I still do! But, sometimes, I do end up looking beyond superficial priorities (follower count, likes on photos, looking my best, staying in competition etc) and focus on the ones that are at the top of my priority list- (helping those in need, spreading love, being thoroughly available to those I care about or contributing to mankind/science/society substantially). Hence in times like these, staying all day on social media gets really difficult and honestly, feels unnecessary too.

This break period actually started as a personal experiment to see how much control social media had on my life and I am glad, not too much. But I didn’t expect the break to go on this long. Stuff came up and blog work needed to be kept aside for good.

Before ending this post, I would urge you to try detaching from social media once in a while, especially if you are a social media influencer or if you are a workaholic in general, try detaching from rat races occasionally that don’t really matter in the long run!

Slow down, make time for yourself & your loved ones, cherish your present – there’s no need to always rush through life, look deeper within yourself, experience solitude, understand better, build beautiful memories off the camera, then come and thank me later 😛

Till then, have a lovely week ahead! 🙂
